I have changed the tagline of my blog: it is now” For Spiritual Care-giving Women”. I chose “Spiritual” to be inclusive, “Care-Giving” for its outward focus and “Women” because it is inviting.

My blog can appeal to and meet needs of women of all ages. Yes, I am a Christian; but I also practice mindfulness and meditation. Care-Giving is something many women are facing. Since I am also retired, I have been able to do so much more than care for my mom.

As I thought about the interconnection of these words, I realized I want to have my spiritual needs met so that I will be able to do the activities I have chosen to fill my day. Some of them involve only me, some my family and others the community.

Making personal time a priority first in my day has enabled me to achieve some significant progress in other goals and activities. I hope you will visit my blog regularly to see what I post in the areas of Spiritual practice, Activities and Care-giving.

So that I wouldn’t limit my subscribers, I hesitated to call sosretirement.net a blog for Female Christian Retirees. There is something here for everyone, whether you’re female or male, Christian or non-Christian, retired or working. Since I am a Female Christian Retiree; and I have found next to no blogs, books, Instagrams or online courses for someone who meets that description, I want to be sure that I reach them in particular.

But my 51+ topics in my ABC’s of Retirement are going to be of interest to almost anyone. I would have been happy to read my blog when I was working and there is nothing saying you have to be retired to be involved in any of the activities covered in these topics.
